Winter Zoo Camp Is Back!

Join the Zoo for Winter Zoo Camp with lots of fun camp activities—from learning what animals eat during the winter to how campers can be heroes for wildlife! Learn about each camp session below to select the best session for your camper!

Zoo Camp Accommodations

Cub Camp

For Campers age 3-5  

  • Cost: $96 for members/$102 for non-members 
  • 9 AM – 12 PM
  • December 27-29: Winter Around the World 

For some folks winter is snowflakes and sleigh rides but when the weather outside gets frightful,  there is always sunny summer somewhere. For this 3-day camp we will shake up what campers know about our snow globe as they discover the adaptations of animals in winter around the world. 

 

Adventure Camp

For campers currently enrolled in grades 1-6 

  • Cost: $150 for members/$165 for non-members 
  • 9 AM – 4 PM 

Dates and Themes:  

  • December 20-22: Winter Extremes 

Have you ever seen a frozen frog? Do bears really hibernate? In this 3-day camp, campers will learn the extreme facts about hibernation, brumation, and some wacky winter adaptations that help animals survive the cold! 

  • December 27-29: Winter Around the World

  • January 3-5: Polar Opposites 

Can a fennec fox live with an arctic fox?  Can a northern seal swim in the south?  What’s a kudu to a caribou?This week campers will explore animals we think are the same but are polar opposites!
