Please note, when the forecast is 110 degrees or higher, we will be closing our Butterflies, Roo Walkabout, Safari Café, and Bird Show experiences for the safety of our animals, staff, and guests. The rest of the Zoo will be open for guests to enjoy.
The animals at Fresno Chaffee Zoo consume hundreds of pounds of browse (tree trimmings, shrubs, leaves) every year! Animals that enjoy browse include elephants, rhinoceros, orangutans and MANY more!
We encourage Zoo visitors to bring their PESTICIDE-FREE browse to the Zoo's approved drop-off location. Please scroll down to view our approved browse species and a list of Frequently Asked Questions.
