Each year Fresno Chaffee Zoo sponsors a series of special events to provide fun activities for our community as well as raise funds to support the Zoo. Tickets for each event will be sold up to six weeks in advance and are available at a discount to Fresno Chaffee Zoo members. The Zoo also holds special animal enrichment days that are free with regular paid admission.

Subway: Breakfast with the Animals and Party for the Planet April 14, 2012 8:30 am - 11:30 am Join us on Saturday, April 16 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am for SUBWAY Breakfast with the Animals. Enjoy hot, syrupy pancakes, sizzling bacon, coffee, juice and milk while surrounded by the wild sights and sounds of Fresno Chaffee Zoo. After feasting with the beasts, explore the Zoo including Stingray Bay, Tropical Treasures and Dino Dig. Be wowed by the Winged Wonders Bird Show, amazed by magician Tony Blanco, and delighted by entertainer Oklin Bloodworth. Zookeepers will educate and entertain with fascinating animal encounters. Stay all day and celebrate Earth Day at our Party for the Planet. Breakfast with the Animals is presented by SUBWAY Restaurants with additional support from Y101, KFSN-TV ABC30, Lyons Magnus, BJ’s Kountry Kitchen and Costco. Advance tickets for this fundraiser are $10 for adults and $7 for children ages 2-11 years of age. Fresno Chaffee Zoo members receive the discounted rate of $7 for adults and $5 for children 2-11 years of age. If this popular event does not sell out, day of event tickets will be sold for $12 for adults and $9 for children 2-11 years of age. Children under 2 are free. Univision Día de los Niños April 15, 2012 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Since 1925, Día del Niño, or the Day of the Child, has grown as an annual celebration throughout Mexico. This day recognizes children, pays homage to their importance in society, and endorses their well being. The offical Día del Niño in Mexico is celebrated on April 30th. This event is put on by Univision - Channel 21 at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. There will be different booths throughout the park as well as live entertainment beginning at 1pm and goes through 6pm. Live entertainment ranges from Mariachi bands to a variety of groups.

Zoobilation June 2, 2012 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Zoobilation is an annual special event for those who support the Zoo year-round: our members and Adopt-An-Animal sponsors. This fun evening offers entertainment for everyone with music, animal enrichment, behind-the-scenes tours and keeper chats. This is a guaranteed fun time for the whole family!

Producers Dairy Ice Cream Zoofari August 11, 2012 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Tempting sundaes, root beer floats, sherbets and smoothies await you at this wonderful family event. The entire Zoo is decorated for the occasion. Kids will enjoy live entertainment, carnival games (extra charges apply), fun and prizes, plus trick-or-treating throughout the Zoo!  Zoo Lights 2012 November 23 - 25, 30 December 1 - 2, 7 - 9, 14 - 23, 26 - 30 5:00 to 8:00 pm This December, the Zoo will be transformed into a magical world of lights! Come to the Zoo during the evening hours to see Santa and enjoy the lights, free hot cocoa, coffee and cookies, holiday crafts, and more! Each evening will feature live entertainment from local groups. Photos with Santa will be available at an additional charge. Tickets may be purchased at the door or at the Zoo admissions window during regular Zoo hours.
