Education Department Wish List
The Education Department at Fresno Chaffee Zoo provides an array of fun and informative programs for children, teachers, families and groups of all kinds. Whether it's a school field trip or a week-long camp adventure, our Education Department is here to make your visit to the Zoo a fun educational experience.

Our Education Department is home to a myriad of different animals from our ferret "Captain Jack" to our screech owl "Whammo" and "Taz" the hedgehog! Some of these animals are our ambassadors to the community. Throughout the year they assist in teaching both children and adults the importance of conservation and the role that each of them contributes to the animal kingdom. Maintaining a fully-functioning Education Department that teaches both on- and off-site takes a great deal of money. Listed below are items that are needed at this time:
