Zoolynx Docents form the core of our educational volunteers at Fresno Chaffee Zoo. Docents conduct tours of Zoo grounds and exhibits, perform public talks with biofacts and act as ambassadors of the Zoo.

All volunteers interested in becoming a docent must complete a 12-week training program that takes place each fall. If you are interested, please call 559-498-5920 or download an application now.

Our next docent training program is scheduled to begin soon! Classes are typically held once a week on Fridays at the Zoo's Education Complex and are conducted by our Education staff.

If you are interested in attending our training and becoming a certified Zoo docent, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 559-498-5920 to learn more or get an application. The docent series training cost is $100 per individual and includes a docent shirt, Zoo membership and a docent manual.
